Ontario Sires Stakes Super Final champion Mister Herbie continued his late season win streak for trainer Jeff Gillis amongst Preferred company at Woobine Racetrack on Boxing Day Monday.

On Wednesday, December 21, Standardbred Canada announced the finalists for the 2011 O’Brien Awards, which honour Canada’s best in harness racing over the past season.

The winning streak is now five-in-a-row and counting for the recent Canadian record setter and OSS Super Final winner, Mister Herbie, thanks to his come-from-behind tally in Monday’s $38,000 Preferred Trot at Woodbine Racetrack.

Fresh off a Canadian record performance against sophomores in the $300,000 OSS Super Final, Mister Herbie returned to Woodbine Racetrack on Monday evening and romped against older rivals in the $38,000 Preferred Trot.

With no eliminations required for the $195,000 Forest City Pace on November 26 at The Raceway at Western Fair District, five of the nine mares entered will prep this weekend, all at Woodbine Racetrack.
