SBOA To Honour Top OSS Breeders

Headline horses in the 2011 Ontario Sires Stakes (OSS) program will have their breeders recognized and celebrated by the Standardbred Breeders of Ontario Association (SBOA) on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012 and Warrawee Farm is among the honourees.

SBOA will be hosting its always popular awards banquet this year at the Sheraton Toronto Airport on Dixon Rd.

The breeder of the top money winner in each OSS category will receive a spectacular etched glass trophy together with a large framed action photo from New Image Media.

Other awards based on the Ontario Sires Stakes will go to Randy Waples, who wins the Lampman Cup with 389 points, and to Bob McIntosh, top trainer with 260 points to once again land the Johnston Cup.

The recipients of both the Chris Van Bussel Memorial Award and the Lloyd Chisholm Achievement Award will be unveiled during a fast paced evening that also includes a silent auction for stallion bookings and scores of other sought-after items.

Keynote speaker Jeff Gural will precede the awards and take the stage at 7:30 p.m., immediately following dinner.
