Warrawee Koine Among Grassroots Winners

Rideau Carleton Raceway played host to six $24,000 divisions of Ontario Sires Stakes Grassroots action for sophomore pacing fillies on Thursday night.

In those six divisions, one sire won half the races, one trainer won half the races and one driver won half the races.

Leading the way on the pedigree side was Camluck with three winners – Spoiled Beach, 1:54.4; Power Outage, 1:53.3 and Noshameinmygame, 1:56. Astreos had two winners – Run To Vegas, 1:53.3 and Warrawee Koine, 1:54.3, while No Pan Intended garnered one win with Tomorrowpan (1:53.4).

Both Brad Forward and Bob McIntosh nabbed three wins apiece in OSS action, and the combination clicked twice together with Power Outage and Noshameinmygame. Forward’s third win came aboard Spoiled Beach while McIntosh got his third win with Tomorrowpan.
